A comprehensive three day induction to the service is provided to all new staff.

• Values and Attitudes
• Diabetes Basics

Professional Development

The professional development of our team is a priority with an extensive training program provided to staff both internally and externally.

STAR Tasmania staff are actively encouraged to identify opportunities for skill development and to take advantage of this training program with view to fulfilling their potential in the disability field.

We are currently working toward a minimum mandatory qualification requirement Level Three in Disability Support and provide appropriate financial support and shift flexibility to achieve this.
