Supported Independent Living

What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?

Supported Independent Living provides the opportunity for people living with disability to gain independence by being supported to live in their own home.

How am I supported under SIL?

When you live with Mosaic, you are supported with your daily life activities including;
• cooking and cleaning,
• community involvement (catching public transport, attending events),
• personal care,
• personal goals, and
• general day-to-day household tasks.

SIL is a personalised approach to living, we tailor all aspects of the home and daily planning to your preferences. Days can be jam-packed with activities or left free for some down time. It is all about choice and control and we will support you to make decisions about your goals and daily activities.

Mosaic is always building new models of SIL, to provide flexibility to our clients.

Do I live on my own, or with other people?

Mosaic SIL properties can be sourced for individuals, or for a small number of people.

Do I need to have my own home already?

No! Mosaic has a number of properties currently and are always searching for more. We are confident we can find the right home for you.

How do I find our more?

Complete our online Enquiry Form, or have a chat with our friendly Engagement team. We offer personalised arrangements and will work with you to ensure our support meets your needs.

Testimonials

David

“I have lived in a Mosaic Support Services Supported Independent Living home for [more than] ten years. It’s a great home and I like the people I live with. I get to run the Mosaic footy tipping competition each year and I get looked after by great people. I really appreciate Mosaic supporting me to visit my family in Queensland regularly as well. I like visiting my family but I like my independence so I prefer living here!”

We are pleased Mitch has found a compassionate home environment where he feels safe and valued. Now, as we get older, we are much more comfortable about the challenges Mitch will face in the future, knowing that he will be supported & encouraged by the caring staff from Mosaic.”
